Beloved father, son, brother and uncle passed away Friday, September 12, 2008 at his home. Age 59 years. The son of Carl and Dorothy (Ayotte) Reinig, Jim was born April 27, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in 1968 and received an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology from Delta College. Jim served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant in Vietnam from October 26, 1970 to October 25, 1971. Jim's military decorations include the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Army Commendation Medal with "V" Device for valor and the Silver Star Medal. He was employed at Haxton's Masonary in Yuma, Arizona. 

Surviving are two daughters, Mandy Reinig, Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania and Megan Reinig, Saginaw; his parents, Carl and Dorothy Reinig, Freeland; two brothers and five sisters, Joe (Laurie) Reinig, Saginaw; Tom Reinig, Sanford; Mary (Mark) Schwarck, Saginaw; Judy (Bryan) Jowers, Blytheville, Arkansas; Sue (Bob) Townsend, Freeland; Marsha (Bob) Caylor, Hemlock; Theresa (John) Sheets, Midland; 16 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; many special friends in Arizona. 

Honoring Jim's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will take place 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road. Pastor Ed Meyer will officiate with military services conducted by the American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at the funeral home, where the family will be present on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
