 ANDREWS, RONNIE "RON" LEE Saginaw, Michigan. Passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence in the presence of his loving family. Age 62 years. Ron was born on August 20, 1950, in Saginaw, to Dale and Alice (Davey) Andrews. He was married to Louise May Colby on March 28, 1968, in Saginaw, where she survives him. He also leaves his sons, Michael Andrews, Sanford; Charles (Janet) Andrews, Kentwood; Clinton (Elizabeth) Andrews, Saginaw; grandsons, Robert Andrews, Ryan Andrews, Joseph Andrews, and Owen Andrews; granddaughter, Elisabeth Andrews; mother, Alice Andrews, Saginaw; brother, Terry (Mary) Andrews, Saginaw; sister, Paula Ozark, Saginaw; niece, Christina (Beto) Martinez, Novi; and other nieces and nephews; great-niece and great-nephew, Angela and Lalo Martinez; mother-in-law, Jean DeLeon, Saginaw; and his dog Diablo. Ron was predeceased by his father, Dale Andrews. Prior to his retirement in 2000, Ron was employed as a designer at GM/Delphi for 30 years. Ron was an active member of Hopevale Church, he also was in the Boy Scouts of America, Gideons, Child Evangelism Fellowship and Regional Director of Operation Christmas Child. Funeral and committal services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Hopevale Church, 4873 N. Center Rd. at Tittabawassee Rd. The Rev. Dan Davis will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., then at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hopevale Church or Operation Christmas Child.
