Robert "Bob" Doman

Flint, MI - Doman, Robert "Bob" William of Flint, age 69, walked through the Pearly Gates of his eternal home on Friday, December 21, 2018, after a lengthy fight and a courageous battle. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Friday, December 28, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Interment, with Military Honors, in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-8 PM Thursday, December 27, 2018 and 10 AM-12 PM Friday, December 28, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, in Bob's memory. Bob was born in Saginaw, MI on June 1, 1949, son of the late James and Marie (Mortimore) Doman. He married Debra "Debbie" Lightheart on August 28, 1970. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1970. He retired from GM Buick after 31 years of service. Bob always bragged about his grandchildren. He also loved the Detroit Tigers, bowling and golfing. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Debbie; daughter, Nancy (friend, Jeff Lehner) Doman; son, Robert "Bobby" (Christa) Doman, Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Samantha and Vern III McGinnis, Mackenzie and Dakotah Doman; 6 siblings, James (Valerie) Doman of Traverse City, MI, Ruth McCracken of San Mateo, CA, Marie (Gary) Shields of Saginaw, MI, Pat (Maryellen) Doman of Bloomfield, MI, Mary Schaeffer of Grand Rapids, MI and Tom Doman of Saginaw, MI; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Doman.
