Aleksandrs Presnikovs

Aleksandrs Presnikovs III was born on September 15, 1950 in Bremen, Germany in a Displaced Persons (war refugee) camp. The family immigrated to the United States when Aleks was only three weeks old.  He attended Ferrysburg Public School for his elementary grades, and Chippewa Middle and Douglas MacArthur High School for his upper grades.  After graduation, Aleks attended Delta College for a couple of years, until he found his calling as a finish carpenter.  Aleks spent his adult life following construction booms to Washington state, Oregon, southern California, Reno, Nevada, Houston, Texas, Louisville, Kentucky, and finally Knoxville, Tennessee, where he died on November 5th, 2009 of necrotizing pneumonia contracted from bacteria in his airway tube while hospitalized for a head injury. He is survived by his sisters Guna and Irene, and their families, his son Aleksandrs Presnikovs IV with wife Monica, and granddaughter Sierra, and grandson Aleksandrs Presnikovs V.
